    tbremer@dallasisd.org

Hello, my name is Mr. Bremer, head director of the Greiner Band at GMS. I love working with middle school students, playing my trumpet, or anything Star Wars. I have extensive experience working with all levels of students and instruments, but I consider myself a brass specialist. I received my Bachelor of Music with a teaching certification from Texas Tech University and my masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I am honored that this will be my 6th year on this campus and my 26th year teaching in Texas. For 21 years, I taught in small schools all around the state of Texas. My classes have included everything from 5th-grade general music to high school marching band.

My name is Rene Luna and I am in my 5th year here as the assistant band director. As the assistant band director, I am responsible for teaching the Beginner Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone), Beginner Percussion, Symphonic Band and the Jazz Band! I am a native of the Oak Cliff area and I am a proud alumni of Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and Sunset High School. I earned my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University where I, along with my Saxophone Quartet, won the Prestigious Concerto Competition. In my spare time I like to visit coffee shops with my wife and play “BALL” with our two loving dogs, Cantiflas (6 year old poodle mix ) and Kobe (3 year old Silver Labrador).
